Outcomes Monitoring

Outcomes are the changes, benefits, learning or other effects that happen as a result of your work. They can be wanted or unwanted, expected or unexpected. For example, the outcomes of work with unemployed people might be:

• improved self-esteem and self-confidence

• improved motivation to find work

• gaining skills or qualifications

• getting work.

Measuring outcomes can help to show the degree of an organisations effectiveness, rather than its size, efficiency or productivity. The concept of attempting to identify the changes brought about by an organisation or project has been around for many years. However, organisations, funding bodies and commissioners have become increasingly aware of the value and benefit of an outcomes focus.

Helen at VINESWORKS is an approved Outcomes Champion, and is delivering Charities Evaluation Services (CES) 1 and 2 day courses in devising and implementing an Outcomes framework.  She has also designed 1/2 day, 1 and 2 day bespoke courses for clients' specific requirements.
